Thursday November 10 LAX - Tel Aviv
We depart LAX on our overnight international Flight.
Friday November 11 Arrival at Ben Gurion Airport
Transfer to our hotel. We spend the night in Tel Aviv with dinner at our Dan Panorama Hotel Tel Aviv (D)
Saturday November 12 Tel Aviv
We will take a city tour of Tel- Aviv with visit to Diaspora and Independence Museums, clandestine ammunition factory the Ayalon Bullet Factory. Dan Panorama Hotel TelAviv (B,D)
Sunday November 13 Tel Aviv - Jaffa - Caesarea - Mt. Carmel - Meggido
After breakfast, we take a drive along the shores of Tel Aviv where we visit ancient Yope (Jaffa). We then drive north to Caesarea Maritima and visit the Roman Theater, Herod's Palace, the Palace of the Roman Procurator, the Amphitheater, the Crusaders' City and the Harbor. Through the town of Afula, our bus takes us to Megiddo, named also Armageddon, where we visit the Museum and this 5,000 year old city with the Gates from the times of King Solomon, the old Canaanite temples and the water tunnel from the time of King Ahab. Monday November 14 Tiberias - Nazareth - Mount Tabor - Cana -Tiberias
After breakfast we visit Nazareth's Church of the Annunciation. We drive to Mount Tabor to visit the Franciscan Church built on the ruins of a 4th century basilica. This was a strategically important site in ancient times. We then go to Cana, where Jesus performed his first miracle, turning water into wine. Dinner and overnight will be in Tiberias. Tuesday November 15 Galilee -Tiberias - Jordan River
We take a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. The ride ends at Ginnosar, where we visit the Ancient Boat that was found nearby. Driving along the north shores of the Sea of Galilee we shall reach Capernaum. We continue to Jerusalem for overnight. Dan Panorama Jerusalem (B, D)
Wednesday November 16 Jerusalem - the Old City
After breakfast we ascend the Mount of Olives and have a wonderful panoramic view of the Old City of Jerusalem, with the Temple Mount. Walking down the Mount of Olives, we proceed to the Garden of Gethsemane. Through the Lion's Gate we walk into the Old City. We proceed through the Via Dolorosa walking along the Stations of the Cross from the remains of the Antonia to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Our walk takes us through the colorful bazaar. Thursday November 17 Jerusalem, the New City - Bethlehem
After breakfast our bus drives us to Mount Zion to visit the Room of the Last Supper (Cenacle) and the Tomb of King David. Walking through the Jewish Quarter we reach the Wailing Wall - the holiest place for the Jews - and the Dung Gate, to drive through the New City of Jerusalem. We continue by bus to Bethlehem. Friday November 18 Massada - Qumran - Dead Sea
We drive via the Good Samaritan Inn to the mountain fortress of Massada, the last stronghold of the Jews after the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 A.D. in the war against the Romans. We ascend to the fortress by cable car to visit the palaces of Herod the Great and the Roman baths and pools. On the way, we stop in Qumran, the city of the Essence, where the Dead Sea scrolls were found in a cave by a shepherd. Our overnight is at the Dead Sea. Le Meridian Dead Sea (B, D)
Saturday November 19 Dead Sea - Amman
Enjoy your day by swimming (floating) and relaxing in the Dead Sea. In the afternoon, we will transfer for our border crossing into Jordan. Overnight in Amman. Marriott Hotel Amman (B, D)
Sunday November 20 Amman - Baptism Site - Mt. Nebo - Madaba - Petra
After breakfast we drive to Mount Nebo, from where Moses viewed the Promised Land. From there you will see the Jordan Valley, Jericho, and Dead Sea. We proceed via the crusaders castle - Shobak, to Wadi Mussa, the modern village of Petra for overnight. Marriott Hotel Petra (B, L)

Monday November 21 Petra - Wadirum - Petra
After breakfast, we will take a drive through the scenic Jordanian desert, past the Wadi Rum area, where Lawrence of Arabia once lived and fought with the Bedouin. Enter the Rose City of PETRA through the Siq, a narrow passage through the mountains which has inspired awe for centuries - up to the treasury which suddenly appears at the end of the gorge, leaving visitors breath-taken by its size, color and beauty. Our English speaking guide takes us into the heart of this ancient city carved into the mountains, passing hundreds of tombs and monuments and a spectacular Amphitheatre which once held 3,000 spectators. After our visit to Petra, we stop for lunch, followed by a visit to Moses Spring before leaving Wadi Moussa (the new town of Petra). Overnight in Petra. Marriott Hotel Petra (B, L)
